Where a chat came from
- new Every conversation's ⋯ menu now shows, under Technical, the address the sender is chatting from. Click it to copy. If the chat has been opened from more than one address, a small count says how many.
- new "Show connection history" under that address expands the full timeline: when the chat was started, each time the sender came back, and their live connections, each with its own address and time.
Every conversation now keeps a small connection log, and it lives in the same place as the rest of the technical details: open a chat, click the ⋯ button, and under Technical you'll find "Sender IP". It shows the address behind the most recent connection, ready to click and copy, and a little count appears next to it when the chat has been opened from more than one address.
Below it, "Show connection history" unfolds every recorded connection as a timeline. Each line carries a tag for what kind of moment it was: "started" is the chat being created, "resumed" is the sender returning through their saved link or your embed, and "live" is an open connection to the chat, which is the truest answer to "where are they writing from right now". Each line shows the address and roughly when it happened. Repeat events from the same address are folded together within an hour, so the list shows real episodes, not browser noise.
Why you'd want this: an address gives you context a nickname can't. Paste it into any IP lookup and you get a rough city and network, which often tells you whether "two" senders are one person on two devices, or whether the same reader has come back three days running. The log is part of the conversation: it lives exactly as long as the chat does, and deleting the chat deletes it. Teammates who can see the conversation can see this too, like everything else in its details.
